Charge a Power Bank in Your Car

Choose a suitable port and keep heat in mind before your next drive.

Check the input rating

Match the power bank input, charger and cable. Charging speed depends on all three.

Built-in USB can be slow

The car USB port can top it up. Check the manual for output power before expecting a fast charge.

USB-C PD needs compatible input

Use a compatible car charger and cable. A higher charger rating cannot override the power bank input limit.

Charge with the engine running

Use only in a ventilated outdoor area. Never run the engine in an enclosed garage.

Unplug and take it along

Never leave it charging in a hot parked car. Keep it off the dashboard and out of sunlight.

An inverter adds a plug point

Use the power bank wall charger. Keep below both inverter and vehicle socket limits.
